Vehicle Exit Sensor for Mighty Mule and Ghost Controls Car Door Systems

Our Exit Wand is compatible with most automatic gate opener brands, providing a hands-free operation for your gate. The exit wand is an electromagnetic sensor that detects metal mass in motion, providing a 12-foot radius of detection to allow for hands-free exit from your automatic gate.

The vehicle exit sensor works by detecting when a vehicle approaches within 12 feet of the wand, activating the gate opener system to open the gate automatically. Our device also features a range adjustment board to prevent false gate openings caused by lawn mower movements or other metallic objects.

Installation is straightforward - simply dig a hole approximately 2 inches deep and 24 inches long within 2 feet and parallel to the edge of the driveway. Then, run a trench from this hole to a spot under the gate opener control box to accommodate the 50-foot, 5-core cable from the wand to the control box. The size of the trench will depend on the PVC conduit you use. Be sure to leave the wand and cable uncovered until the function has been successfully tested.

If the wand is not working, please check the following: - Ensure all connections are correct - Make sure the Range Adjustment is set at maximum range - Disconnect the power, test the wand, then reconnect the power, ensuring no metal object or vehicle is moving around the wand for 60 seconds during calibration
